Baby Sophia – 8 month old baby photos, Santa Monica Family Photographer

I know Sophia’s dad from my gig at Loyola Law School as he is one of the totally brainy intellectual professors there. I probably couldn’t get through a class of his (way above my left brain head) but at least we can totally bond on the kids front. I got to photograph him for the alumnae magazine in ‘08 when he joined the staff and though he was so cool. Sophia is SUCH a beautiful 8 month old girl. Mike just built a new house in Santa Monica with huge windows and all white walls. Literally a photographers dream! I asked him in the middle of shoot “Would you rent this place out for photos hoots?” How tacky. I might squat there just to shoot! (Ha, ha…..). I think Sophia is absolutely gorgeous. I mean look at her eyes and their coloring!

Andrea and Chris – Engagement Shoot in Downtown Los Angeles, Downtown Los Angeles Engagement Photos

Andrea and Chris were referred by Liz and Steve who got married back in 2008.  Since I photographed Veronica and Steve in the same location the day before (blog post below), I was very excited to use some of the same and some different backgrounds then I had done with them.  Of course, we met at my favorite bakery – Babycakes (all vegan, wheat-free, gluten-free desserts – AMAZING!!!)  and ran around the neighborhood.  We took some of these photos in the 5 cent Diner (which I have heard is great).  Andrea and Chris are getting married at the Castle Green in Pasadena on Labor day weekend and I’m so excited!

Veronica and Mike – Downtown Los Angeles Photo Shoot

You have heard me mention Veronica’s name as the gal who 2nd shoots for me a lot. I was so flattered when she asked to do a trade – so I photograph her and her boyfriend Mike and she’ll do a family shoot for us! Veronica is a fabulous photographer but she is also an amazing singer/songwriter. Her boyfriend Mike is a drummer so I had to make them whip out their instruments. Usually, I am terrified when other photographers ask me to photograph them…but I was really excited for this shoot. Veronica has such a dynamic personality and I knew she would be super photogenic. She and Mike are SOOOO cute together. And as soon as we get a moment, yes, we will do our family shoot!

Deborah and Tony’s Wedding – Villa del Sol d’Oro Wedding Photos, Pasadena, CA Wedding Photography

Deborah and Tony were the couple who almost made me climb a barbed wire fence during their engagement shoot when I was 8 months pregnant.  That being said, Deborah is extremely intense, detail oriented….and as it was revealed during the toast – a super genius.  From what I could gather, she skipped high school and went straight to college at UCLA.  The morning of the wedding, she called me about 5 times to change plans the photo location. Turns out she called all the vendors that many times!  It’s a good thing for Deborah that is is lovable and sweet!   Fortunately, the change of plans was all for the better – to take photos at their amazing location Villa del Sol d’Oro before the ceremony which at Westminster Presbyterian Church.  I absolutely ADORE Villa del Sol D’Oro.  It’s a wonderful place to shoot.

Deborah had a travel theme to the whole wedding as she was courted by Tony while she was in Los Angeles and he was in Denver (thus the ring shot below) and she did THE MOST AMAZING JOB on the details. Maps, old typewriters, old books, maps and globes were present throughout the whole venue.   Angel Swanson of Events of Love and Splendor did a fantastic job and it was so wonderful to meet her. Thanks also to Veronica Puleo of Verofoto who 2nd shot this with me. She did a wonderful job with the details.

Lydia and Michael’s Engagement Shoot – Los Angeles Engagement Shoot, Griffith Park Observatory Engagement Shoot

I can’t remember how Lydia and Michael came my way but I am so glad they did!   They wanted to do their engagement shoot at the Griffith Observatory on 4th of July weekend, thinking that because it was closed on Monday it wouldn’t be crowded.  Quite the opposite.  It was packed.  Lydia and Michael brought their new puppy to the shoot and every time we put him down, he got so much attention, we ended up putting him back in the car.  I mean, as you can see from the picture, the little guy could not be cuter.  Lydia and Michael are such a nice couple and I just think Lydia is gorgeous.  I can’t wait for their wedding in September!
