Kai, Mo, John and the dogs!

Tess and I see Kai and Mo at the library all the time.  Tess is really in to Kai, and being the extrovert that she is, she might scare him just a bit.  Regardless, he is just about the cutest kid ever and I was so excited when Mo asked if I could do a family shoot with them.  Having lived here in Malibu for over a year now – across the street from the beach, I assume every kid in Malibu goes to the beach as often as we do, which is just about every other day.  So when Mo wanted to do the shoot at the beach I assumed Kai dug the beach.   When I got there, that was not the case.  He didn’t want to even put his feet down and he was not  the happy Kai I know.  Actually, this happened to me several years ago with another 2 year old. LITTLE KIDS CAN BE SCARED OF THE SAND AND WAVES….who knew?  So off to plan B.  The minute that we got to land, Kai was a different person!  So we got lots of photos of him in the weeds, which I just love anyway…and look at all those smiles!
