Liz and Ryan’s Wedding – The Park Plaza Hotel Wedding Photography, Los Angeles Wedding Photographer
I had only met Liz once when she booked me. She was actually referred through one of the professors at Loyola Law School as she is in the Tax Master’s program there. That being said, I had no idea what style or what this wedding would be like at all. I have to say, that this was my greatest surprise of all year! The Park Plaza is not only the most AMAZING venue to shoot at, but Liz and Ryan had such incredible style and were just so romantic together, I was like “Oh my God!” all day long. These are some of my favorite photos ever. After a bunch of 12 hour long weddings with huge families and huge wedding parties, it was nice to to this small, intimate wedding with one attendant each and about 60 guests. Love that!! I also got to work with the great Amber Gustafson of Amber Events. She is so cool and the details were beautiful!

Otis Sloan!
I know, it’s taken me several weeks to post pictures of the little man but a really bizarre thing happened to me while I was in labor….I caught pneumonia! Not to scare anyone, this is totally rare and my labor was actually pretty short, but I did develop this cough and 103 fever when I was about 7 cm. Honestly, no one had ever even heard of such a thing, but after doing a bit of research, pneumonia is most often caught in hospitals so perhaps, next time (ummm….probably not!) I’ll opt for a home birth! Thank goodness I am recovering and Otis is doing great! I’m really into him. And his sister Tessie is WAY into him. A little too much perhaps as she won’t leave the little guy alone. Many of you know that we have a recording studio here at the house and while Otis was on his way into the world, my husband Jimmy started recording this amazing artist named of all things, SISTER OTIS. She is so awesome and MISTER OTIS as we now call him, is really taken with her music….so we did some fun stuff with him and the instruments.

Natalie took these super cute pix of us by the vines

Megan and Edan’s Wedding – Greystone Mansion Wedding Photography, Beverly Hills Wedding Photographer, Il Cielo Wedding Photography
It’s actually been a while since I’ve photographed a more Orthodox Jewish wedding which included many of the Jewish formalities such as the Bedeken (the veiling) and the Yichud (where the bride and groom spend time alone after the ceremony for a few minutes in a separate location). Megan and Edan were also married by a Rabbi from Chabad and all of these aspects of their wedding made it very exciting to photograph. I don’t think that Megan and Edan are particularly Orthodox, but Edan is from Israel and they decided to keep these traditions throughout this 11 hour day! The ceremony took place at Greystone Mansion which is just such a lovely place to photograph and the reception was at Il Cielo Restaurant. Megan and Edan are super fun and positive people so even though the day was long, it went really fast. They were incredibly enthusiastic and calm the whole day and their friends and family had an absolute blast. I really loved her dress and thought she did a great job on all the details. I had also never been to Il Cielo which I thought was a beautiful place for a reception and thanks to the staff for feeding us so promptly. I was so pregnant and hungry!

Baby Liam
When I was pregnant with Tess 3 years ago, I wasn’t able to photograph Trina and Shawn’s wedding and we were all bummed about that. We had a great time at their engagement shoot and I am so happy we kept in touch over the years and I was able to photograph Baby Liam!!! As opposed to Grayson below, Liam was several weeks early at only 5 pounds + and we did this shoot when he was about 3 weeks. What a cutie! I had alot of fun photographing elements around their new home. Such a great newborn day!

Baby Grayson
If you saw Hayley and John’s maternity shoot back in March, this is the beautiful outcome! Grayson was born at 10 pounds plus! And he is just too cute. It’s so funny when a baby comes into a household with dogs. These little princes where coping with some jealousy so we were sure to include them in the action!
