Estelle and Carlo @ The Atheneum

Estelle and Carlo actually came my way by referral from my this fabulous DJ Senor Amor.  Actually, Senor Amor and I have been friends for years, then we dated, then we were friends.  It was SOOOO great to see him at the wedding as it had been a REALLY long time and I was looking forward to it.  If you get a chance, check out Senor’s website, he DJ’s parties all over town and is pretty famous for being a DJ on KXLU.  That is how Estelle knew him.  I always remember my mother saying “Do I really have to call him “Senor”?”  Well, the answer is “yes”.  Only his own mother gets to call him by his real name.  Anyway, this was a super fun wedding.  The Church was St. Felicitas and Perpetua and I had just shot there in January, and every thing else took place at the Atheneum and Cal Tech.  Estelle and Carlo had both gone to Cal Tech so they showed me all around the campus.  Thanks so much for Veronica Puleo for doing an amazing job 2nd shooting and being a good hang.  Oh, and Estelle had pockets in her dress.  I LOVE THAT!

Los Angeles Carribean Ensemble

This is a really fun shoot with a Carribean band called LACE (Los Angeles Carribean Ensemble).  Of course, we were shooting in the worst neighborhood in East LA and the only landmark to meet was a strip club!  But the guys were great and even listened to me through my laringitis!

Jocelyn and Matt’s Engagement Shoot

Jocelyn and Matt are getting married at the Langham in Pasadena and I am so thrilled to be photographing their wedding!   For their engagement shoot, they wanted to do Abbot Kinney for the cool backgrounds and bright colors…and then off to Palisades Park where Jocelyn runs every morning.  Jocelyn and Matt were great subjects.  I know Matt was little nervous so it is always convenient where we are shooting in a location where we can pop in to a local bar and get a shot!  (Oh, them…not me on the job
