Kat and Noel – 9.6.08
Kat and Noel are just about the coolest couple ever. I was incredibly psyched to do this wedding and it even exceeded my expectations – Kat and Noel are such wonderful, fun people and their wedding was simply gorgeous. I know I’ve been really bad at blogging so I didn’t want to postpone this one but I will be adding some of their details to their post. Paula from Just Chic Events did an incredible job coordinating and Kat’s aunt did the flowers. The reception took place at the Bower’s Museum in Santa Ana, CA and their new wing is an amazing place to have a reception. Sorry for such a long post!
Flashes of Hope – 9.24.08
My friend Jennifer who used to work at Loyola Law School hooked up with this organization called Flashes of Hope. This organization sets up photoshoots at children’s hospitals around the country in cancer wards. I am so flattered that Jennifer thought of me and I was so thrilled to be a part of this incredible day. The kids were so incredibly cool!!!!
Alvin and Amaya at 6 months!
I photographed Adrianna and Alvin’s wedding in April of 2007 and I was thrilled to hear that she had given birth to twins! Twin’s actually run in her family so although these days, twins are coming because of in-vitro…these guys are au-natural! I always prefer to photograph infants at their homes….for many reasons….including the fact that the mom and the kids are so much more comfortable there. Adrianna was a little worried about how her house would photograph as it’s her mother-in-laws decor, I always know that there will be SOMETHING really cool, which might not be super obvious to the mom. Anyway, we ended up photographing mostly with a white blanket which look awesome and this super cool couch! I love this shot below. It’s one of my fav’s!
Diana and Grant – 8.30.08
Diana and Grant got married at the amazing Villa del sol D’oro. It was VERY hot in Sierra Madre but it was still a fabulous day! Diana and Grant got married by a Buddhist Monk and the ceremony was VERY beautiful but in the Buddhist spirit focused on the imperminence of marriage itself. I always wish I could be a guest at all these weddings as I can’t take in as much because I’m in such a visual frame of mind. Villa del sol D’oro…is an AWESOME place to shoot with endless possibilities….I wish we had had 2 hours to do the romantics. I couldn’t get enough!
Thomas is 3 months!
I was so thrilled when Michelle and Ed emailed me to tell me they had a baby! Their wedding will always be special in my heart as it was that very day I found out I was pregnant! I was so happy that they wanted to come out and visit me in Malibu. It was overcast so we got to go to the beach and do some stuff at the house! Ugh, isn’t Thomas adorable!!!
