Marisa and Ben – 8.31.08

You might remember Marisa and Ben from their engagement shoot in December – she wore these FABULOUS red shoes.  Well, she was no less hip at the wedding…purple shoes and a 40’s style get up…..You know, when a bride looks this hip it makes my job VERY easy but, of course, she has to be cool.  Marisa and Ben are simply the sweetest people ever and it’s been really fun to get to know them through this whole wedding ordeal.  Marisa is a violinist and Ben is a music producer, musician, singer/songwriter….obviously, my kind of people.  I think they might have booked me when they found out about my past.  Anyway, I just had such a blast at the wedding.  Marisa’s parents are missionaries who work in Honduras so I was very excited to meet them and Ben’s parents were lovely as well.  The wedding took place at Michael’s Restaurant and it was very fun to take photos around the hood….Oh, and the food rocked!  Marisa and Ben were VERY emotional during the entire day and it was difficult for either of them to get through any sort of speech….which was really funny, especially since Marisa’s outer personal is super “cool”.  Oh, those violinists!!!!

Tess wants an iPhone..

I’m already in trouble!!!!

Maggie and Ari – 8.17.08

I know I haven’t posted a wedding in a while and I HAVE been photographing alot of them…..I had a couple of clients who didn’t want to be blogged (a little more in the public eye) and we have been SWAMPED!  You know I get behind in my blog when I get swamped!  Anyway,  I’m finally getting to it.  Maggie and Ari are one of my two couples who live in NYC and we got to do their engagement shoot in NYC.  They met at an opera workshop at Pepperdine and decided to get married in Malibu…and what better place than the gorgeous Adamson House!  Heather and I LOVE photographing here.  There ceremony was so wonderful and Maggie’s family is so sweet.  Oh, and yes, they actually did the Chicken Dance!

Max, Katy and Grace

Katy and Grace were both flowergirls and Laura and Will’s wedding last May and I had a blast photographing them there.  I was so thrilled when their mother Laura called me to see if I could take photos of the girls and their newest addition to the family – Max!  Ugh, these kids are just too cute….and I really fell for Max!  We had an awesome time just running around the lawn and then, of course, they got to go swimming!
