The Finn Family
Aaaah Twins…..as a new mom myself who feels overwhelmed with just one, I really don’t know how people handle twins except to say, that every mother of twins I have talked to has A LOT of help and they just simply do it! I am so thrilled that I had the opportunity to meet Sophia and Sienna (and their parents, of course) for though they are sisters born from the same womb, they could not be more different – Sienna has hair, Sophia has little, Sophia is 6 POUNDS heavier than Sienna and during the shoot one of them was all smiles while the other was fussy almost the whole time!!!! This shoot was a BLAST!!! First of all, could I have more gorgeous parents? And if you think things happen for a reason, their parents are so great with them, you can see why God gave them two at once!!
I know the kids look freaked out but I still through this was hilarious….
Sienna and Sophia (R-L) were being fed as I was packing up my stuff. I had to take this!
Diana and Grant’s Engagement Shoot
Diana and Grant are getting married on Labor Day weekend by Buddhist monks! Yes, I’m very excited about it. I met them in Los Feliz about a month ago and I’m just getting to blog them now (yes, it’s after midnight and Tessy is asleep…shhhhhh). Anyway, it was very fun getting to know these guys since they had booked me about a year before their wedding. We ran around my old stomping ground of Los Feliz…it made me very nostalgic for my old digs! Diana began the shoot in her traditional Vietnamese dress (a few for the parents) and then changed into her everyday-wear. I know they were a little nervous for the shoot, but I think they did GREAT!!!!
Karen and Craig – 6.20.08
If anyone is curious as to what makes a perfect bride and groom for a photographer on their wedding day, my example would be Karen and Craig. Karen was just so calm and fun and her husband was exactly the same way. They weren’t nervous, they didn’t sweat every detail, and they just had a great time – which is really how all couples should be. Karen and Craig’s wedding took place at Shutter’s on the Beach in Santa Monica and though we did do a bunch of stuff at the hotel, some of my favorite shots are on the surrounding streets and on the beach. Karen and Craig also have a great story – grew up together back east and she always had a little crush on him in high school. Years passed and when she was moving to Los Angeles, she looked him up and the sparks flew. The really cool thing was that the families all knew each other from back home….and now they are just one BIGGER family!
Could you die from those eyes!!!
This actually happened by accident!

I thought it was so cool that they did a mother- daughter dance. I did another one this weekend too. This is a great trend!!!
Tess is 1!!!!!
Well, she might not remember….but it’s a major milestone for me….I got through a year of motherhood…Yay! I know I can’t be objective, but isn’t she gorgeous? She is the funnest person I know….what a personality and ALOT of strong will!
Kristin and Brice – 6.07.08
6.07.08 was one of the biggest wedding days this year and I could not have spent it with a lovelier couple than this. I loved Kristin and Brice from the first time I met them and my heart only grew fonder as the wedding approached. Originally, they were supposed to have their wedding at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, but as fate would have it, in January, they were told that because of the Gay Pride Parade the following day, no one would be able to park anywhere near the venue. Kristin was devastated as you can imagine and was searching every which way for a new venue on the same date. You know, situations like this are what make you truly realize what a wedding is all about. I mean, it’s great to have the location of your dreams, but ultimately, it’s the fact that you are making a deep commitment to your soulmate witnessed by the people in your life who you love the most is what counts. And such is true with the wedding of Kristin and Brice. This was an INCREDIBLE wedding because two INCREDIBLE people got married who have INCREDIBLE friends and family. Let’s put it this way – not only was the entire audience crying at the ceremony, but so was I….and when I looked at Heather, she was crying too!
Kristin and Brice also had a super cool coordinator, Penny Ryan whose company is called Pennyrella Weddings . So Kristin and Brice got ready at the London hotel, we did photos there, and then we went over to Hollywood and Highland for the ceremony and the reception.

I love this bouquet shot that Heather took!!!

O.K….so I used my new Boutwell actions!
And we were crying too!!
I dug the weird waves….
