Tess’s first real meal!
Very, very exciting! Tess had a big week: She got 2 teeth (and took it like a champ, I might add), she became 6 months old and she ate her first solid food! A sweet potato! We are so proud of you Tess, this was really fun. And yes, SOME did go in her mouth!
Aileen and Ben – 11.17.07
I just want to apologize for being so lazy about posting on the blog. We were so busy in November and got so busy with holiday orders that the blog postings were the one thing that I just couldn’t get to! But I’m committed now!
Aileen and Ben’s wedding was at La Venta Inn in beautiful Palos Verdes. Because the ceremony began at nightfall and we couldn’t get into La Venta until 3:00pm, we started photos at Aileen’s parents house with getting ready and family shots. I always thought of Aileen and Ben as a quiet and shy couple so it was great to get to know them better at the wedding. They are SOOOOO sweet and funny and made sure I was well taken care of!
I would like to share one funny story (though I probably shouldn’t be sharing this, it’s a bit embarrassing!) So, I always leave SUPER early for every wedding in case I run into traffic, get lost, etc….so I’m not late. The morning of Aileen’s wedding was a little crazy with the baby, so I couldn’t find a matching pair of socks. With long pants and high shoes, I figured: “Whose going to notice?”. My luck, when I got to Aileen’s house I have to take my shoes off. So HOURS in the house with 2 different socks on and I don’t even notice! Finally, I look down and I’m MORTIFIED! So I say something to Aileen and her mom, apologizing! Aileen’s mom looks at me and says “Oh, I just thought that was your style!” Yeah! I guess it is my style! You will all be happy to know that I will NEVER go to a wedding without matching socks!
It’s been a while since I’ve worked at La Venta Inn and it was such a pleasure to work there again. It’s so lovely there! Aileen and Ben did a great job with their details. Turns out Heather had gone to school in London with Aileen’s sister, it’s so awesome when we reconnect with people we know at the weddings!
